The Gwinnett Stripers and Buffalo Bisons obliged fans hoping for an exciting game.

The Gwinnett Stripers defeated the Buffalo Bisons by the score of 9-8, with the biggest share of the credit going to catcher Caleb Mancillas. Mancillas went 2 for 3 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Stripers on the day. Damian Nix earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. His record is now 1-0. Zachary Murch earned the save, his 3rd, for the Stripers.

Gwinnett took the lead, 9-6, on William Aharoni's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Buffalo pitcher Fergie Thuotte in the bottom of the seventh.

"We got the victory," said Aharoni. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."

The defeat makes Buffalo 5-1.
