Norsemen Lose as Stripers Stage Late Rally

Gwinnett Stripers starter Cole Bowman hurled his team past the Rochester Norsemen, 5-2. Gwinnett reliever A.J. Moreaux picked up the win to move to 1-0. Kelley Graser suffered the loss. Zachary Murch picked up the save for Gwinnett, his 2nd of the year.
Gwinnett used the timely hitting of William Aharoni to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Stripers on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"Cole's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said Gwinnett manager Jon Obrochta.
With the win, Gwinnett improves its record to 2-2.
