Clippers Need Extra Innings to Top Norsemen, 12-6
|
The Columbus Clippers powered past the Rochester Norsemen, 12-6, in 10 innings at Frontier Field. Nick Dunstan went 5 for 6 with a home run, a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once, to lead the charge. Columbus, now 3-0, is setting the league on fire so far.
The game was all tied up in the top of the tenth, until Dunstan delivered big-time for Columbus, stroking a dramatic solo home run off Denny Murphy. The game-changing hit put the Clippers on top, 7-6.
Postgame, Clippers manager Gregory Edgar praised Dunstan. "Having Whale in the lineup makes us a better team."
