The Chicago White Sox defeated the Montreal Expos, 10-7, at Guaranteed Rate Field. Leading the charge for Chicago was designated hitter Hugo Busso. He went 1 for 2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The win was credited to 25-year old right-handed pitcher Alfredo Rodriguez in relief. His record improves to 6-4. Gabriel Taylor took the loss. Kelly Biggs converted his 19th save in 22 tries.

Chicago second baseman Ronald Williams changed the complexion of the game in the bottom of the sixth inning. That's when he belted a grand slam home run off Gabriel Taylor. His 19th home run of the season put Chicago in front, 6-4.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Williams.

The White Sox now own a record of 73-64.
