Piechota Swings Royals to 10-5 Win
The London Royals defeated the Toronto Blue Jays, 10-5, in part because of catcher Gregory Piechota. Piechota went 4-4 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Royals. The 5th-place Royals now have a win-loss record of 57-80.

August Paul had a big 2-run double for the Royals in the top of the third inning. With London leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Luca Boris, who is tied for 6th in the NL with a 8.7 K/9 rate, and swatted a double to center. It was his 17th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Royals ahead, 4-0.

"Feels good to get the job done," Paul said after the game.
