Chicago Gets 8-1 Win Against Rangers
|
Chicago rode a good effort from starter Dax Moore to beat the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Park in Arlington. The final score was 8-1. Moore, the winner, moves to 11-9. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up no walks. With this game in the books, Chicago is 64-72, Texas 68-68.
Chicago relied on the bat of Stanford Parker to get the win. The shortstop ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the White Sox ahead, 3-0. For the game, Parker had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"We'll keep our chins up and get ready for the next game," said losing manager Andy Daniels.
