The exploits of right fielder Noel Richard helped the Miramar Sun Dogs defeat the Pompano Beach Aqua Sox, 8-1. Richard was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Bastien Schewe closed the door for Miramar, picking up his 1st save of the year. Miramar is sitting pretty at 41-12.
With Miramar leading 2-1 in the bottom of the sixth, Richard hit a fastball from Caleb Iyas for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Sun Dogs ahead, 4-1.
"We put on our big boy pants and went to work," said Richard.
