Good production from left fielder Peter Williams helped the Pembroke Pines Herons topple the Clearwater Threshers, 5-3. Williams was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Herons. The win was credited to 17-year old left-handed pitcher Mason Singletary in relief. His record improves to 4-0. Dave Comstock took the loss. Luca Hudnell recorded the save, his 12th.

With Pembroke Pines trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Williams hit a fastball from Dave Comstock for a 3-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Herons ahead, 4-2.

"This was a good win," said Williams.

At 23-27, the Herons find themselves in 4th place in the Florida Rookie League Southeast Division.
