Boca Raton 10-4 Win Hard-Earned
Boca Raton and Pompano Beach put this game in the books despite some rain.

The inspired effort of Pompano Beach designated hitter Easton Schaefer was not enough to prevent a loss, 10-4, to the Boca Raton Buccaneers. Schaefer slugged 2 home runs. The win elevated the Buccaneers to 27-20.

The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Cooper Hamel came to bat in the top of the 13th. Facing Pompano Beach pitcher Hugh Sokolowski, he hit a 1-1 changeup for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Boca Raton on top, 5-4.

"Baseball is a wild game -- a crazy game, sometimes," said Hamel.
