Aqua Sox Fall Short, 2-1, at Key Largo

In a tension-filled contest between the Key Largo Fighting Shrimp and the Pompano Beach Aqua Sox, pitcher Bradford Little was superb. The Key Largo right-hander, who is tied for 9th in the FLA in wins with 4, spearheaded his team's 2-1 win. The winner was Little. He threw 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball. The loser was Zachary Murch. Anardo Mejia earned save number 3.
The Fighting Shrimp got a big at-bat from designated hitter Anthony McConnell. For the game, McConnell was 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Key Largo a 2-0 lead.
McConnell told reporters after the game: "Runs were at a premium, so a good win for us."
The last-place Fighting Shrimp hiked their record to 18-31.
