Herons Knock Off Kumquats at Charlotte Sports Park

Pembroke Pines beat Kissimmee at Charlotte Sports Park, eking out a 4-3 win. The triumph was primarily due to center fielder Paco Polanco. He went 3-4 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs. The winner was Pembroke Pines reliever Simon White, now 1-0. The loser was Jesse Daly. Joshua Myers nailed down the save.
With Pembroke Pines leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Polanco hit a 2-run single off Kissimmee hurler Jesse Daly. It was the 4th hit of the season for Polanco and put his team ahead, 3-0.
"I like to keep things lively in the clubhouse," said Polanco. "Believe me, it's much easier after a win."
With the victory, the Herons upped their record to 26-23.
