Creech, Buccaneers Ring Up 6-3 Win
|
The Boca Raton Buccaneers and Coral Springs Manatees completed their game despite the inclement weather.
Eli Creech was a major factor in the 6-3 Boca Raton win over Coral Springs. The Buccaneers left fielder went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Ian Moore was the winner. He's now 3-2. The loser was 20-year old right-handed pitcher Kent Loucks. Ryan Chatman earned save number 9 this season.
Creech had a game-changing double in the top of the sixth. On a 1-2 fastball from Aiden Van Rees, he banged a run-scoring double to right, giving the Buccaneers a 2-1 lead. It was the 3rd double of the year for Creech.
"No complaints from me," said Buccaneers manager Mike Goldstein. "I like what I saw out there."
The 7th-place Buccaneers bumped their record to 18-17.
