Langel Excels, But Sun Dogs Win
West Palm Beach second baseman Nolan Langel had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Langel belted 2 home runs. He scored 4 runs and drove in 6, even as Miramar beat the Dolphins, 17-16. The winner in relief was Judd Gasser. He is now 2-7. The left-hander allowed 7 runs on 8 hits in 3.1 innings. With the win over West Palm Beach, the Sun Dogs improved to 8-29.

The Dolphins had been locked in a 11-11 tie with the Sun Dogs going into the bottom of the seventh inning. That changed quickly when the 20-year old left fielder Jeremiah Stice came to the plate. Stice hit a run-scoring triple on a 1-2 slider from West Palm Beach hurler Ben Felbinger. It was Stice's 1st triple of the year.

"This game had a little bit of everything," said Stice.
