Ignition Rally Late to Clip St. Louis
The Indianapolis Ignition faced a tough opponent in St. Louis pitcher Franklin Schmitt, but did just enough to pull out the victory at PepsiCo Park by a final score of 5-4. Schmitt went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. The winner was Mainard Pérez in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Jason Chamberlain took the loss. The 5th-place Ignition hiked their record to 15-19.

Aminu Ode was the walk-off hero for Indianapolis. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Ignition catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This place was jumping at the end," Ode said.
