Lars Porcaro pitched a gem to lead Pembroke Pines to victory over the Cape Coral Hammerheads, 3-1. Farris Hudson earned the save for Pembroke Pines, his 11th of the year. At 23-29, the Herons claim last place in the Florida Rookie League Southeast Division.

Porcaro ran roughshod over the Cape Coral lineup. The right-hander allowed just 2 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 6. With the victory, he goes to 2-4 on the season.

"Lars is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Pembroke Pines manager Mario Galvan.
