Schneider, Sun Dogs March to 5-3 Victory
|
The Miramar Sun Dogs topped the West Palm Beach Dolphins, 5-3, at Tradition Field. Miramar first baseman Nolan Schneider was a spark plug for the offense. He was 4-4 with a home run, a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Miramar reliever Alex Rodriguez picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Helmut Jacob absorbed the loss. Matt Pflanz earned save number 4 this season.
Early in the game, Schneider had a 2-run triple for Miramar. It was his 2nd triple of the season and put the Sun Dogs on top, 2-0.
"It felt good to put the barrel on the ball," said Schneider.
Today's win puts Miramar at 17-12, while West Palm Beach falls to 11-18.
