Hialeah Loses Again, 5-1
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Hialeah Gales and Kissimmee Kumquats get after it.
The Kissimmee Kumquats beat the Hialeah Gales, 5-1, at Bright House Field. Kissimmee third baseman Josías Peña led the way. He went 3 for 5 with 3 singles. Kissimmee has run its win streak to 5 in a row.
Reggie Peterson was 2 for 4 with 2 singles for Kissimmee. The 20-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring single off Weston Parker. It was his 21st hit of the season.
"I like our mindset right now," said Kissimmee manager Max Côté.
