Herons Hang 1-0 Loss on Saguaros
|
Pembroke Pines starter A.J. Holland had a strong outing against the Mesa Saguaros at Charlotte Sports Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 1-0 win. Pembroke Pines, at 18-27, sits in last place in the Florida Rookie League Southeast Division.
Mick Nowakowski drove in one run for Pembroke Pines. The 18-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Tim Whitmire. It was his 15th RBI of the season.
"We take it day by day here," said Nowakowski, "and today was a good one for us."
