Charlotte Sports Park was the site for Florida Rookie League action featuring the Pembroke Pines Herons and Hialeah Gales.

The Hialeah Gales faced a tough opponent in Pembroke Pines pitcher Bentley Corona, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Charlotte Sports Park by a final score of 12-6. Corona went 5.2 innings and allowed no runs. With the win, Hialeah has a record of 13-6. Pembroke Pines falls to 6-13.

The Gales got a gift in the top of the eighth inning, when they were leading 7-6. With two out and the bases loaded, T.J. Cline reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run. It made the score 8-6, Hialeah.

Cline was taciturn after the game. "A win's a win," he said.
