Fort Lauderdale Pirates starter Luke Mohler pitched well against the Boca Raton Buccaneers at Indians Developmental Complex, leading his team to a win, 5-3. The save went to Alex Jackson, number 4 for him. Fort Lauderdale is now 9-7, while Boca Raton is 6-10.
Israel Tejeda dealt the Buccaneers a blow in the top of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Fort Lauderdale leading 1-0, Tejeda, who is tied for 6th in the FLA in bases on balls with 7, hit a 2-1 splitter for a run-scoring single.
