3-1 Win Takes Mariners to 27-6
|
Carson Loveday was masterful in helping the Seattle Mariners take down the Houston Astros, 3-1. Seattle has now won 5 games in a row.
The Mariners got a big at-bat from designated hitter Dickie Pierce. For the game, Pierce went 1 for 3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Seattle a 2-1 lead.
"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Loveday told the Seattle Chronicle.
