The California Angels downed the Houston Astros, 7-1, at Disney Stadium. Stellar pitching by Roland Otano had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who finished 5th in the EAST in wins with 15 in 2055, handcuffed his opponent all game. The Angels improved their record to 17-16 with the win over Houston.

Otano, the winner, is now 4-2, after putting the clamps on the Houston offense. In 7 innings of work, he gave up 1 run on 5 hits, while collecting 11 Ks.
