West Palm Beach second baseman Mike Gilbert made his presence felt in the 7-6 Dolphins triumph over the Fort Myers Flamingos. Gilbert was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. With the loss, Fort Myers sinks to 2-9.

With West Palm Beach leading 6-3 in the top of the ninth, Gilbert hit a run-scoring single off Fort Myers hurler Andy Ryan. It was the 8th hit of the season for Gilbert and put his team ahead, 7-3.
