Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Boca Raton Buccaneers and the Florence Swordfish. Boca Raton won it, 1-0. Boca Raton starter Levi Funston was in command. Sebastian Yartz earned the save, his 8th. With the win, the Buccaneers sit at 24-18.
It could have been a different outcome for Boca Raton, had it not been for Jim Young, the 18-year old right fielder . Young contributed a solo home run in the top of the second inning to put Boca Raton up, 1-0.
"That's baseball," said Florence manager Ivan Rivera. "Sometimes the other team plays better than yours."
