Late Offense Lifts Hollywood to 7-3 Victory
|
The Hollywood Spoonbills knocked off the Kissimmee Kumquats, 7-3, at Roger Dean Stadium. Don Quixote Juarez was a big reason Hollywood won. The second baseman went 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The win moves Hollywood to a record of 7-0.
Juarez had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-2 fastball from Dougie White, he banged a grand slam home run to right-center, giving the Spoonbills a 7-3 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Juarez.
"Winning never gets old," said Spoonbills manager Jordan Ranjel.
