Kissimmee Loses, 5-4, in 10
The Hialeah Gales racked up a win at Bright House Field, bumping off the Kissimmee Kumquats, 5-4, in 10 innings. Richard Poyser, who started for Hialeah, pitched effectively for his team. Hialeah reliever Vic Berg got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Arnie Kinton was tagged with the loss. The win gives Hialeah a record of 4-4.

Manuel Chaves delivered a big hit for Hialeah. The center fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Gales ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"I put my work in and trusted the process," said Poyser.
