Paz on Fire, 5-for-5 Against Hollywood
Sanibel third baseman Marcos Paz had a big day at Roger Dean Stadium against the Hollywood Spoonbills. The 18-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led to the 32-5 Sailors triumph over Hollywood.

"Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Paz said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all."

Marcos Paz hit a three-run home run off Craig Browder in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, walked in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 9th and walked in the 9th.

Looking at his present stats, Paz has compiled a .611 batting average in 5 games with a .667 on-base percentage, while hitting 2 home runs and driving in 7 runs.
