The Fort Myers Flamingos put together a convincing win at Charlotte Sports Park, defeating the Pembroke Pines Herons, 13-1. Dorian Kurashima was one of the hitting stars. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for Fort Myers. Jayden Barsh picked up the win, lifting his record to 1-0 on the season. He struck out 7 and walked 0 in 5.2 innings, while yielding 1 run. Picking up his 1st save was 17-year old right-handed pitcher Adam Guffey.

Fort Myers second baseman Nathan Seay contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a knuckle curve to left field for a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Flamingos ahead, 10-0.

Pembroke Pines manager Solomon Ding called the blowout loss "ugly."

With the win, Fort Myers boosts its record to 3-1.
