Roger Dean Stadium was the site of a tense game between the Key Largo Fighting Shrimp and Miramar Sun Dogs.
In a well-pitched game between the Miramar Sun Dogs and the Key Largo Fighting Shrimp, pitcher Brandon Brosius was superb. The Miramar right-hander helped his team win, 3-1. George Davis got credit for the save for Miramar. It was his 3rd of the year.
Vince Ehlers was 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk for Miramar. The 20-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Gage Foster. It was his 3rd walk of the season.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Ehlers.
The loss makes Key Largo 0-5.
