The Portland Hops got great pitching from 23-year old left-handed pitcher Linc Gemmell, allowing them to bump off the Colorado Rockies, 5-1. Portland has a mark of 17-15 after the win.

Gemmell threw well for Portland, thwarting the Colorado offense. The left-hander tossed 105 pitches over 8.1 innings. He allowed just 1 run on 3 hits.

"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Gemmell. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
