Gilbert pitcher Randall Yang did his part in helping his team beat the Gainesville Hogs, 6-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Yang went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 2-1. The Geckos saw their win-loss record go to 16-15. At the same time, the Hogs fell to 15-16.

Gilbert used the bat of Armando Paniagua to get the win. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Geckos ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
