In a low-scoring contest between the Bullhead City Catfish and the Phoenix Armadillos, Edgar Cruz was the X factor. The Bullhead City right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Cruz picked up the win for Bullhead City, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 4-2. The 5th-place Catfish hiked their record to 33-29.
Neal McGirt drove in one run for Bullhead City. The 18-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Jorge Vega. It was his 15th RBI of the season.
"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," McGirt told the Bullhead City Herald.
