Salamanders Rally to Nose Past Phoenix
The Scottsdale Salamanders overcame a pretty good performance by Phoenix catcher Dilan Pimentel, beating the Armadillos, 5-4, at Maryvale Baseball Park. Pimentel went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times. Scottsdale reliever Boden Kramer picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jack Rigg was saddled with the loss. The loss makes Phoenix 34-25.

Scottsdale used the timely hitting of Lon Herrington to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Salamanders on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll pocket this win," said Herrington, "and then go after another."
