Sierra Vista starter Tom Delvecchio pitched effectively against the Peoria Pride at Camelback Ranch. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. Sierra Vista reliever Patrick Dyer was the winner. His record is now 4-3. Beckan Harrold took the loss. Halton Silverio picked up the save for Sierra Vista, his 7th of the year.

P.J. Brooks delivered a big hit for Sierra Vista. The right fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Hummingbirds ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"We had situations where we should have got some runs in, but we didn't get the runs in," said losing manager Jason Seligman.

Sierra Vista, at 28-34, occupies 6th place in the Arizona Rookie League South Division.
