In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.

Scottsdale picked up a win at Hohokam Park, bumping off the Kingman Torts, 4-1. Pitcher Wade Ashford was a major reason the Salamanders emerged victorious. The Salamanders sit in first place in the Arizona Rookie League North Division with a record of 38-19.

In the top of the ninth, Jason Romero stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Torts were trailing 4-1, but had the bases loaded. That's when Randolph Tate made a terrific pitch and Romero struck out. Gone was the dream of a Kingman comeback.
