Hummingbirds Pull Out Late-Game Win, 3-2
Scottsdale got a decent performance from pitcher Geo Sadikian, but it wasn't enough to beat the Sierra Vista Hummingbirds. Sierra Vista won the Surprise Stadium contest, 3-2. Sadikian threw 7.2 innings allowing 3 runs for the losing team. Aarón Yanez was the winner in relief. His record is now 3-0. The losing pitcher was Geo Sadikian. Sierra Vista occupies 7th place in the Arizona Rookie League South Division at 23-34.

Sierra Vista took a 3-2 lead on John Galvez's 6th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Galvez hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Scottsdale pitcher Geo Sadikian visibly frustrated.

"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Sierra Vista skipper Alvaro Lugo. "I can't complain."
