A 3-RBI performance from designated hitter Runelvys Teran, who is tied for 7th in the AZL in home runs with 10, led the Glendale Gauchos to a win over the Scottsdale Salamanders, 4-2. Pablo Roman picked up the win, improving his season record to 7-1. He struck out 6 in 7 innings. Picking up the save was Juan Bautista Garcia, his 10th.

In the top of the third, Teran had a 3-run home run for Glendale. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Gauchos on top, 3-0.

"We did the things it takes to win a ballgame," said Glendale manager Tony Coto.

The loss makes Scottsdale 19-38.
