Russell West had a strong outing for the Florence Swordfish against the Gilbert Geckos at Goodyear Ballpark. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-2 win. West yielded 2 runs over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 3-0.
