Yuma Gnomes pitcher Leland McGhee was in top form, leading his team past the Chandler Ranchers, 5-1. The third-place Ranchers now sit at 32-19.

Isaiah Simmons delivered a big hit for Yuma. The right fielder drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Gnomes ahead, 4-1. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"I don't lose sleep over a loss," said McGhee. "But I have better dreams after a win."
