Late Rally by Gauchos Secures 6-3 Win
The Glendale Gauchos picked up a win at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, taking down the Flagstaff Blue Devils, 6-3. Starting pitcher Andy Brucia was a big reason why. In 7.2 innings, Brucia surrendered 9 hits, while striking out 11 and walking 0. He allowed 2 runs. Florencio Cabanes finished to wrap up his 9th save.

Glendale used the clutch hitting of Elijah Harris to snag the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Gauchos ahead, 6-2. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a crucial one.

"This team has the heart of a lion," said Gauchos manager Tony Coto.

Glendale, at 36-18, is 3½ games up in the Arizona Rookie League North Division.
