Roughnecks Improve to 33-20 with 11-6 Win
No one was more impactful than Wesley Pauly in the 11-6 Ahwatukee win over Buckeye. Pauly, who is tied for 4th in the AZL in triples with 2, was 2 for 5 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Ahwatukee reliever Ric Dean picked up the win, raising his record to 5-1. Bartholo Soto was tagged with the loss. The last-place Quahogs have lost 4 straight games.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter T.J. Cooper came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Buckeye pitcher Bartholo Soto, he hit a 2-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Ahwatukee on top, 7-6.

"I'm proud to be a part of what we've got going on here," Cooper told the Ahwatukee Observer. "It's a great group and we're happy with the win."
