Brandon O'Neal could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Mesa Saguaros lost, dropping a 3-1 decision to the Peoria Pride at Capitals Ballpark. Anderson Epley snagged the win in relief. He goes to 3-0 on the season. Brandon O'Neal suffered the loss. The win for the Pride lifted their record to 27-22.

Peoria took a 2-1 lead on Chris Brkic's 5th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Brkic hit in the top of the seventh, left Mesa pitcher Brandon O'Neal visibly frustrated.

Peoria manager Juan Ybarra praised his team's "no BS approach."
