Grace Slugs Quahogs to 11-7 Win
The Buckeye Quahogs topped the Tempe Impalas, 11-7, with designated hitter Endicott Grace playing a big role. Grace went 3-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Quahogs in the win. Chris Flury picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Cristián Alvidrez suffered the loss. Yeffry González earned the save for Buckeye, his 2nd of the year.

In the top of the sixth, the Quahogs grabbed the lead when Grace hit his 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run off Roy Richardson made it 8-6, Buckeye.

Quahogs manager Sandro Duran wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."

Buckeye is now 16-27, Tempe 20-23.
