Rockies Deal Red Sox 10-3 Defeat
|
The Colorado Rockies topped the Boston Red Sox, 10-3, in American League action at Fenway Park. The standout performance belonged to Colorado pitcher and Uijeongbu, South Korea, native Dong-Hyeon Song. The triumph makes Colorado 19-12, as the team begins another long trek toward the playoffs in 2062.
Colorado catcher Shane Vickers contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a cutter to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 3rd hit of the season and put the Rockies ahead, 5-1.
"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," said Vickers. "But I like how we're playing right now."
