Gauchos Snatch Late Win
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Glendale Gauchos got the win.

A good performance from left fielder Clifford Carr helped the Glendale Gauchos defeat the Phoenix Armadillos, 4-2. Carr went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Gauchos. The Gauchos improved their record to 24-13 by beating Phoenix.

Pablo Mattaos came through with a big-time hit for Glendale. The third baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Carr said.
