Best in Cruise Control in 8-1 Win
|
The Houston Astros had to reckon with New York Yankees hurler Edward Best. Best, who is tied for 8th in the NL in wins with 3, overwhelmed the opposition in the 8-1 Yankees triumph. The Astros drop to 12-19, as their stumbling start to the 2068 season continues.
Best, a native of Les Îles de la Madeleine, Canada, was dealing all game. He kept Houston hitters off-balance, while giving the Yankees 8.1 quality innings. Best threw 103 pitches, allowing 5 hits and striking out 8.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said Best.
