Voyagers Slap 5-3 Loss on Mets
|
Danys Harper made an impact in the 5-3 Great Falls win over Kingsport. Harper, who is tied for 5th in the PIO in total bases with 119, was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Raphael Bogart, the winner, improved to 8-3. He held the Mets to 3 runs on 4 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 2. The save went to Alexandre Isabelle, his 16th this season.
A critical at-bat came in the top of the eighth inning when the Voyagers sent 21-year-old designated hitter Nicolas Peralta to the plate with the bases loaded. The youngster shook off the pressure and reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run, to put Great Falls on top, 5-3.
"Anytime we get it going, it puts a smile on my face," said Harper.
Great Falls is now 42-21, Kingsport 36-26.
