Indians Drop Pirates, 8-3
|
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
The timely hitting of Philip Cleary helped the Pueblo Indians down the Bristol Pirates, 8-3. Cleary slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Indians. Pueblo starter Donovan Spice was credited with the win after throwing 85 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 4-1.
Joe Rogers, the 22-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Rogers contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put Pueblo up, 4-1.
"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Rogers.
Today's win puts Pueblo at 32-29, while Bristol falls to 38-24.
