Voyagers Keep Chugging, Win, 2-0
|
The Great Falls Voyagers, behind a great outing from Christopher Roberts, who is tied for 7th in the PIO in wins with 4, defeated the Butte Americans, 2-0, at Americans Ballpark. The save was Gavin Flynn's, his 15th. Great Falls is in second place in the Pioneer League North Division with a record of 26-13.
Tom Sargent, who is tied for 2nd in the PIO in doubles with 10, had a direct impact on the outcome. Sargent contributed a solo home run in the top of the first inning to put Great Falls up, 1-0.
"The object of the game is to score more runs than they do," said Roberts. "Mission accomplished."
