In a low-scoring contest between the Virginia Black Bears and the Indianapolis Ignition, 27-year old left-handed pitcher Ken Cole proved to be the difference. The Virginia left-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Black Bears win. Justin Yang, now 2-2, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. Heath Albino picked up his 5th save of the season.

Virginia took a 3-2 lead on Kenneth Mueller's 8th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Mueller hit in the top of the ninth, left Indianapolis pitcher Ryan Bielvenstram visibly frustrated.

"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said Indianapolis manager Jay Duren.

With the win, Virginia is 14-16.
